Most agencies selling generative engine optimization in 2026 are SEO shops with a new service page. That's not a knock. Good SEO does most of the work AI search needs, but it makes separating real GEO teams from relabeled ones harder than it should be.
So I did the sorting. I started with 35 agencies pulled from four of the top-ranking GEO roundups, checked each one's pricing and case studies, and cut the field to the 12 best GEO agencies below. If you're shopping for answer engine work specifically, my list of the best AEO agencies covers that side.
The stakes are real. Gartner predicted back in February 2024 that traditional search engine volume would drop 25% by 2026 as buyers move to AI chatbots. Whether or not that exact number lands, your buyers are already asking ChatGPT for vendor shortlists.
Full disclosure: I founded SAASY LINKS, which is on this list. I scored it on the same criteria as everyone else, and I've called out where it's the wrong pick.
What Is a GEO Agency?
A GEO agency gets your brand cited and recommended inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. The work mixes classic SEO with things AI models weigh more heavily: brand mentions on third-party sites and content written so a model can lift a clean answer from it.
The term comes from a 2023 research paper, GEO: Generative Engine Optimization, later published at KDD 2024. Its authors found GEO methods can boost visibility by up to 40% in generative engine responses. Agencies picked up the label fast, and by 2026 almost every SEO firm lists it.
In practice, a GEO retainer usually covers four things. There's prompt tracking, where the agency monitors which buyer questions mention you and your competitors. There's content restructuring for answer-first extraction. Off-site work gets you mentioned in listicles, Reddit threads, review sites, and YouTube videos that AI models cite. And technical work keeps AI crawlers able to read your pages.
GEO and AEO overlap heavily. AEO (answer engine optimization) is the older term and leans toward featured snippets and direct answers. GEO leans toward LLM recommendations. Most of the agencies below sell both under whichever name tested better on their sales page.
GEO vs SEO: What Changes
GEO keeps the SEO basics and changes what you measure. SEO tracks rankings and clicks for keywords. GEO tracks whether AI tools mention and recommend your brand for buyer prompts, which often happens with no click at all. The inputs overlap a lot, and the reports look very different.
The biggest shift is off-site. In Google, your own page has to rank. In ChatGPT, a third-party roundup that names you can do the job for you, which is why so many GEO agencies spend budget on roundup placements and Reddit threads.
Content changes too. Pages get rewritten so each section opens with a direct answer a model can quote, facts get dated and sourced, and brand names sit in the same sentence as the claim. None of that hurts SEO. Plenty of it helps.
Some things stay exactly the same: crawlable pages, fast load times, and links from sites people actually read. An agency that tells you to drop SEO for GEO has it backwards.
How I Evaluated These GEO Agencies
I screened 35 agencies and kept 12 that cleared five bars. Each one had to publish GEO or AI search results with real numbers and name at least four clients. It also needed a method that goes past "we do SEO, and SEO helps AI."
The fourth bar was price. I needed a figure I could verify from the agency's own site or Clutch, or failing that, a named third-party pricing review. The fifth bar was outside proof. Where an agency had a Clutch profile, I read the reviews and noted the rating and count. A 5.0 from two reviews tells you less than a 4.8 from 119, and I've listed both so you can judge.
What got agencies cut: case studies with no metrics, AI citation claims with no source, and "GEO packages" that were really a blog post bundle. Several well-known firms dropped out because their only AI proof was a single screenshot of a ChatGPT answer.
I didn't take payment from any agency on this list. SAASY LINKS sits first because it's the one I know best from the inside, and I've been specific about its limits in its entry.
GEO Agencies Compared: Pricing and Results (2026)
Starting prices for the 12 GEO agencies below run from about $3,000 to $15,000+ per month, and one charges by fixed-scope sprint instead of retainer. The table shows each agency's entry price and Clutch rating. Prices come from each agency's own site or Clutch, with a few from named third-party reviews.
Best GEO Agencies Compared (2026)

Best GEO Agencies in 2026
Here are the best GEO agencies I'd shortlist in 2026, ordered by how well their published proof matches B2B and SaaS buyers. Each entry covers who runs the agency, one or two AI search results with a source, what it costs, and where it's the wrong fit.
SAASY LINKS: Best for Link-Driven GEO for SaaS
SAASY LINKS is a SaaS-only GEO and link building agency founded by Vikas Kalwani in 2022. It gets B2B software brands cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews by earning editorial backlinks and brand mentions on the publications those models already pull answers from.
The agency's generative engine optimization agency page reports AI citations per client, which few firms here publish. Modash grew from 25K to 205K monthly organic visits over 51 months and now shows up in 127 ChatGPT citations and 203 Perplexity citations for tracked queries. Uniqode went from 30K to 115K visits in 11 months, picking up 45 ChatGPT citations along the way.
GEO plans start at $4,000/month, month-to-month. Clutch rating: 5.0 from 6 reviews. Where it's the wrong pick: SAASY LINKS is an off-site shop first. If you need a team writing 20 articles a month, you'll want a content agency alongside it.
Notable clients: HeyReach, Hunter.io, Modash, Uniqode, Snov.io, CloudTalk.
Graphite: Best for Research-Led GEO
Graphite is a San Francisco growth agency led by founder and CEO Ethan Smith, who also teaches SEO at Reforge. Its GEO work comes out of an in-house AI research team with PhD data scientists, and its clients are mostly venture-backed tech companies like Webflow and n8n.
The Webflow case study is the most detailed GEO result I found on any agency site. Between January and August 2025, signups from LLMs doubled from 4% to 8% of all Webflow signups, and LLM share of voice rose from 33% to 64%. Those LLM signups converted at 24%. Non-brand SEO traffic converted at 4%.
Graphite's view is blunt: great SEO gets you most of GEO for free, and the gap is off-site presence on Reddit and YouTube. It publishes that research openly through its Five Percent hub and runs its own tracking tool for share of voice per LLM.
Pricing isn't published anywhere I could find, including Clutch, so plan on a custom quote. No Clutch profile.
Graphite fits product-led companies with enough traffic for LLM signups to show up in analytics. A seed-stage startup with 2,000 visits a month won't see much in the data for a while, and the research-heavy style is built for teams past that stage.
Notable clients: Webflow, n8n, Hinge Health, BetterUp, MasterClass, Fourthwall.
CiteWorks Studio: Best for Citation Architecture and Source-Layer GEO
CiteWorks Studio is a GEO and AI search visibility agency built around citation architecture, meaning the source layer behind AI recommendations. It maps the owned and third-party pages that decide whether a model retrieves, cites, compares, and recommends a brand, mostly for high-consideration brands like ZipRecruiter and SharkNinja.
ZipRecruiter is the headline result. Over a 10-month program, ZipRecruiter's AI share of voice rose from 10.4% to 17.9%, a 72.1% relative increase, per the ZipRecruiter case study. AI citation appearances tied to the pages CiteWorks influenced went from 261 to 916, up 251%, and keyword visibility for those pages grew 101.6%.
What sets it apart is that it doesn't stop at a visibility dashboard or a content refresh. Once the source map shows where a brand is missing, the same team works across technical SEO, entity clarity, content, citation gaps, and authority on the third-party sites models lean on. Most engagements start with a Visibility Audit and move into a retainer from there.
Pricing isn't published on its site, so plan on a custom quote after the audit. I couldn't find a Clutch profile.
CiteWorks fits high-consideration brands that want one team to go from AI visibility diagnosis to the actual fixes, especially when third-party citations, comparison pages, and "best X for Y" prompts decide the shortlist. Its published work leans consumer, home services, and finance, so B2B SaaS teams should ask for an example closer to their category.
Notable clients: ZipRecruiter, SharkNinja, Bay Alarm Medical, Anthem Tax Services, ARS Rescue Rooter, Thor Metals Group.
iPullRank: Best for Enterprise AI Search
iPullRank is a New York agency founded by Michael King in 2014 that treats GEO as an information retrieval problem. King built the Relevance Engineering method, which scores content passage by passage, and the agency works almost entirely with Fortune 500 brands such as American Express, Adidas, Target, and CVS.
Results are big and enterprise-shaped. For a telecom brand, AI Overview inclusions rose 253% in 12 months, from 712 to 3,235, per the telecom case study. A financial services client saw sign-ups climb 121% in six months.
King also gives a lot away. The free AI Search Manual and the Qforia query fan-out tool are both worth a look before you talk to any GEO agency, iPullRank included.
The AI Search Strategy Program starts at $15,000/month. Clutch lists a $50,000+ minimum project but no reviews yet. It's out of reach for most startups, and that's deliberate.
If you're a mid-market SaaS, read King's manual, borrow the passage-level thinking, and hire someone cheaper to run it.
Notable clients: American Express, Adidas, Under Armour, Nordstrom, Target, CVS.
Minuttia: Best for B2B SaaS GEO
Minuttia is a content and GEO agency that works only with B2B SaaS, founded by George Chasiotis in 2020 and based in Tallinn, Estonia. It ties AI search work to trial signups and runs its own research, including an AI search visibility study of 24,067 prompts across five AI platforms.
Its Meilisearch case study is one of the few that tracks AI traffic all the way to conversions. From January 2025 to July 2026, LLM-driven traffic grew 665% and LLM-driven conversions grew 2,700%. The free-trial signup rate went from 1.7% to 3%.
Worth knowing: Minuttia publishes its own GEO agency roundup and ranks itself first. So does almost everyone, me included.
Monthly budgets start at the $5K–$10K tier on its intake form. Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum and a 4.9 rating from 16 reviews.
Minuttia suits Series A to C SaaS teams with a working product-led funnel. Its GEO work is content-heavy, so if your real gap is off-site mentions, ask how much of the budget goes to placements versus new articles.
Notable clients: ServiceTitan, Toggl, Docebo, Sitecore, Meilisearch, NordVPN.
Go Fish Digital: Best for Technical GEO With In-House Tools
Go Fish Digital is a Raleigh, North Carolina agency founded in 2005 by Brian Patterson and Dan Hinckley, and part of Agital since a February 2024 acquisition. Its GEO work runs on tools built from Google patent research, for mid-market and enterprise brands like GEICO and Zendesk.
The tooling is the draw. Barracuda scores content against 14 ranking factors pulled from Google patents, and an AI Overview Analyzer checks how pages show up in AI answers.
Go Fish tested GEO on its own site first. In about three months, AI referral traffic rose 43% and conversions from AI referrals rose 83%, with AI leads converting at 25x the rate of traditional search, per its GEO case study. It's their own site, so read it as a proof of concept rather than a client result.
Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum project, with most engagements between $10,000 and $49,999. Clutch rating: 5.0 from 13 reviews.
Because it's now part of a larger holding company, ask who'll run your account day to day. The patent-driven tooling is the reason to hire Go Fish, so make sure the senior people behind it stay involved past the pitch.
Notable clients: GEICO, HP, Uber, Zendesk, SurveyMonkey, LegalZoom.
Directive: Best for Pipeline-Tied GEO
Directive is an Irvine, California performance marketing agency for B2B tech, founded in 2013 by Garrett Mehrguth and Tanner Shaffer. It runs GEO and AEO as separate service tracks and reports AI search results against pipeline and demo bookings, which is what a SaaS CFO will ask about anyway.
The Case Status case study shows how that plays out. Over nine months the legal-tech SaaS went from no LLM presence to leading across 39+ tracked prompts in ChatGPT and Perplexity. Demo bookings rose 20%, and book-a-demo conversions jumped 135% quarter over quarter.
GEO starts around $6,000/month, according to a third-party pricing roundup. Clutch shows most projects at $10,000–$49,999 and a 4.8 rating from 56 reviews.
Directive fits Series B and later SaaS with a sales team that lives in its CRM. Earlier teams may find the reporting heavier than they need, and GEO is one service among paid media and CRO rather than the core offer.
Notable clients: Gong, SentinelOne, ZoomInfo, Calendly, Chili Piper, Wiz.
Victorious: Best for Passage-Level AI Citations
Victorious is a San Francisco search agency founded by Michael Transon in 2013 that added answer engine and generative engine work to an SEO-only practice. Its retrievability scoring system grades each passage on how likely AI is to cite it, and it mostly serves well-funded mid-market and enterprise brands.
The scoring pushes pages toward modular sections, summary-first paragraphs, query-shaped headings, and short standalone answers. For apparel brand UNIONBAY, five pages reworked this way earned 84 AI Overview citations in six weeks, per the UNIONBAY case study.
Victorious's SEO pricing guide recommends budgeting at least $6,000/month on a 12-month commitment. Clutch lists a $50,000+ minimum and a 4.8 rating from 119 reviews, one of the deepest review records here.
The $50,000 Clutch minimum and year-long commitment rule out early-stage teams. For a brand with a big content library and an SEO budget already in place, though, passage-level scoring is one of the more concrete GEO methods I've seen.
Notable clients: Salesforce, SoFi, GE Digital, Delta Dental.
Omnius: Best for Boutique SaaS and Fintech GEO
Omnius is a London-based GEO agency co-founded by Matija Golubović and Ana Pantić that works only with SaaS and fintech companies. It takes on at most eight new clients a year and runs a 22-point GEO checklist that covers everything from AI crawler access to Bing and Copilot visibility.
Its best-known result is an AI SaaS backed by Speedinvest that went from zero to 2.73M organic clicks in 13 months. Fintech Myos saw signups rise 227.9% in six months. Neither is an AI citation metric, so ask for prompt-level data on your sales call.
Omnius built its own AI search analytics platform, Atomic AGI, to track visibility for clients.
Retainers start around $5,000–$6,000/month, per third-party reviews from DerivateX and TripleDart. No Clutch reviews yet.
The eight-client cap is good for attention, but it can mean a waitlist. Omnius suits SaaS and fintech teams past product-market fit that want senior people on the account rather than a junior pod.
Notable clients: BigCommerce, Payoneer, WorldFirst, TextCortex, ANNA Money, AuthoredUp.
Intero Digital: Best for GEO Inside Full-Service Marketing
Intero Digital is a full-service digital marketing agency founded in 1996 and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It launched its Generative Response Optimization service in June 2024 and bundles GEO with SEO and paid media for mid-market and enterprise brands.
Freshpet is the clearest proof. In six months, Freshpet's Google AI Overview appearances rose 645% and traffic from AI platforms rose 46%, with 475 prompts tracked daily, per Intero's announcement. For Global Industrial, it went from zero to 1,200+ AI Overview appearances in 12 months.
GEO starts around $3,000/month per the same Mirage News roundup. Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum and a 4.8 rating from 147 reviews, the most on this list.
The trade-off with a big full-service firm is focus. Intero has 200+ staff across many service lines, so ask how many accounts your GEO lead handles and whether the team behind the Freshpet results would work on yours.
Notable clients: Freshpet, Global Industrial, Blackbaud, PubMatic, Zayo, Mizuno.
NoGood: Best for Growth Teams With Big Budgets
NoGood is a New York growth marketing agency founded by Mostafa ElBermawy in 2016. It sells GEO under the AEO label and pairs it with Goodie, a sister AI visibility platform that tracks brand mentions across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity for its clients.
The SteelSeries case study is huge on paper. From January to October 2025, AI search traffic grew 23x year over year, and conversions from AI platforms grew 27x. The brand's ChatGPT visibility score moved from 51 to 73.
Budget is the catch. Average retainers are reported at $20,000+/month with a $50,000+ minimum project, per GTM 80/20. Clutch rating: 5.0, but from only 2 reviews.
Two Clutch reviews isn't much for an agency at this price. Ask for references in your category, and check that you're paying for GEO work rather than a growth retainer with AI reporting bolted on.
Notable clients: Nike, TikTok, Intuit, MongoDB, Chime, SteelSeries.
Digital Elevator: Best for Fixed-Price GEO Without a Retainer
Digital Elevator is a remote GEO and SEO agency founded by Daniel Lofaso in 2010. It sells AI visibility as fixed-price, fixed-scope 90-day sprints with no retainer, which suits lean in-house teams that want to test GEO before committing to a monthly contract with anyone.
Halo Labs saw LLM sessions rise 1,182%, per the Halo Labs case study. BMG Labtech picked up 125 new AI Overview citations and 34% more organic traffic. The client list leans biotech and life sciences, so SaaS teams should ask for relevant examples.
Pricing is published on its AEO page: AI visibility work from $3,000, managed AEO and SEO from $3,500/month, and full programs at $9,000–$24,000+. Clutch rating: 5.0 from 14 reviews, with a team of 2–9.
Fixed scope is both the appeal and the limit. After two sprints you'll either renew or take the work in-house, which works fine if you have a content person ready to keep it going.
Notable clients: McKesson, BMG Labtech, Halo Labs, Champions Oncology, Solvias.
How Much Do GEO Agencies Cost in 2026?
GEO agencies cost between $3,000 and $20,000+ per month in 2026, based on the published and third-party prices for the 12 agencies above. Most B2B SaaS companies land in the $4,000–$8,000 range. Enterprise programs start around $15,000, and a few agencies sell fixed-scope sprints instead.
GEO Agency Pricing Tiers (2026)
| Tier | Typical Price | Good Fit For | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed-scope sprint | $3,000–$24,000 per program | Testing GEO before a retainer | Digital Elevator |
| Entry retainer | $3,000–$5,000/mo | Early-stage SaaS, one main gap | Intero Digital, SAASY LINKS, Minuttia |
| Mid-market retainer | $5,000–$10,000/mo | Series A to C SaaS | Directive, Victorious, Omnius |
| Enterprise | $15,000–$50,000+/mo | Fortune 500 and big consumer brands | iPullRank, NoGood |
Two things move the price most: how many prompts the agency tracks and whether off-site placements are included. Content volume matters too, since an agency writing eight articles a month will cost more than one writing two.
Watch the contract length as closely as the monthly number. Victorious asks for 12 months, while SAASY LINKS and Digital Elevator don't lock you in. A 12-month deal at $6,000 is a $72,000 commitment before you've seen a single citation report.
Which GEO Agency Fits Your Company?
The best GEO agencies for you depend more on stage and budget than on any ranking, mine included. Here's how I'd shortlist for the four kinds of companies I talk to most: early SaaS, growth-stage SaaS, enterprise brands, and big consumer brands.
Early-stage SaaS teams spending under $5,000/month have two sensible routes. SAASY LINKS makes sense if your gap is authority and mentions. Digital Elevator is the pick if you'd rather run a fixed-price test first.
If you're a growth-stage SaaS company with a CRM full of pipeline data, Minuttia and Directive are the two I'd call first. Omnius belongs on that call list if you're in fintech. Graphite is worth a conversation too if you're product-led.
Enterprise brands have fewer options that make sense. I'd start with iPullRank for technical depth and CiteWorks Studio if third-party citations and comparison pages are where you're losing ground. Victorious fits as well, especially if you have a big content library to rework.
And if you run a consumer brand with a big budget, NoGood and Go Fish Digital both show results outside SaaS that most of this list can't match.
How to Choose a GEO Agency
Pick a GEO agency by matching its proof to your buyer. A SaaS company selling to IT teams needs citations on the prompts IT buyers type, so ask every agency for prompt-level results from a client like you. Budget and contract terms come second.
Start with tracking. AI citation tracking should be a standard deliverable in every GEO retainer. If an agency can't tell you how many times ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews cited your brand last month, it isn't really doing GEO.
Then ask where your mentions will come from. Off-site signals carry a lot of weight. The OppAlerts study of ~167,000 domains found that Wikidata presence alone correlates at +0.151 with AI visibility, and most link and authority signals rank higher still. An agency that only rewrites your blog is working on half the problem. If your GEO budget is mostly an authority budget, a SaaS link building agency may cover more of it for less.
Watch out for deliverables that sound technical but don't move anything. Some GEO packages lead with llms.txt files and "AI-ready" rewrites. Google's John Mueller said in June 2025 that "no AI system currently uses llms.txt," and a rewrite with no new facts or sources gives a model nothing new to cite. Pay for mentions and tracking instead.
“One of the worst things you can do for AI search visibility? Destroying your SEO performance with shiny new AI search tactics that are ultimately dangerous for SEO - and by extension - AI search.”
That's the other half of the test. Because AI search tools pull live results before answering, anything that tanks your Google rankings can tank your AI visibility too. Ask each agency what it won't do. If you still need a classic search partner alongside GEO, my shortlist of the best SaaS SEO agency options is a good place to compare, and for pure off-site work there's my breakdown of link building services.
How to Measure GEO Results
Measure GEO with four numbers: share of voice across a fixed prompt set, citation counts per AI platform, AI referral traffic in GA4, and conversions from that traffic. Agree on the prompt set before the contract starts, or every monthly report will quietly move the goalposts.
Conversions matter most because AI traffic is small but converts well. Graphite's Webflow data showed LLM signups converting at 24% against 4% for non-brand SEO. So a GEO report that only shows mentions is missing the part your CFO cares about.
Give it time. Google AI Overview changes can show up within weeks, while ChatGPT and Perplexity citations usually take three to six months to shift. Judge an agency on a full quarter of data.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a GEO agency do?
A GEO agency gets your brand cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. The work covers prompt tracking, answer-first content, brand mentions on sites AI models cite, and technical fixes for AI crawlers. Most GEO agencies started as SEO firms and added the service after 2023.
How much does a GEO agency cost in 2026?
GEO agencies charge about $3,000 to $20,000+ per month in 2026, with most mid-market retainers between $5,000 and $8,000. Enterprise programs like iPullRank's start at $15,000/month. Fixed-scope options exist too, such as Digital Elevator's AI visibility sprints from $3,000.
What's the difference between GEO and AEO?
GEO targets citations and recommendations in LLM answers, while AEO grew out of featured snippets and voice answers. The term GEO comes from a 2023 research paper that found GEO methods can raise visibility by up to 40%. In practice most agencies sell both as one service.
How long does GEO take to show results in 2026?
Most GEO programs take three to six months to move ChatGPT and Perplexity citations, while Google AI Overview changes can appear within weeks. Intero Digital reported a 645% rise in Freshpet's AI Overview appearances within six months. Plan for at least one full quarter before judging results.
Can a GEO agency guarantee AI citations?
No agency can guarantee AI citations, because OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and Perplexity control what their models cite. Reputable agencies guarantee the work, such as placements and tracking, instead of outcomes. Treat any promise of a guaranteed ChatGPT mention as a red flag.
Which GEO agency is best for SaaS companies in 2026?
Minuttia, Omnius, Directive, and Graphite focus most heavily on SaaS among GEO agencies in 2026. Minuttia and Omnius work only with SaaS or fintech, and Directive reports results against pipeline. Graphite suits venture-backed product-led companies, based on its Webflow and n8n work.
What are the red flags when hiring a GEO agency?
The biggest red flag is an agency that can't show prompt-level citation data from a past client. Others include guaranteed AI mentions, packages built around llms.txt files (Google's John Mueller said no AI system currently uses them), and tactics that put your Google rankings at risk. A 5.0 Clutch rating from two reviews also tells you very little.
